The legislation affecting production, distribution and supply of chemical products is diverse and is being under constant review. Keeping an eye on the changes and updates becomes crucial for being in compliance with the regulation. Being not in compliance on the other hand means being out of the market.
While REACH sets out complex and general rules for the chemicals’ production and use there are still many other legal acts regulate the market. The classification and labelling of the chemicals need to be in line with Regulation 1272/2008. Cosmetics, detergents, biocidal products and plant protection products have to comply with their specific regulations. All who are involved in international trade need to take also PIC procedures and trade compliance into account. Transport of the Dangerous Goods and national requirements are another elements of this regulatory jigsaw.
